London Business School's thought leadership publication, Business Strategy Review (BSR) was in need of a serious makeover and when we were asked to have a look at it, we threw caution to the wind and presented not only a completely reworked design but also a completely new distribution strategy. And the client loved it.
We took the rather dated academic journal and gave it a clear personality and purpose. As a play on the journal's title, we created three distinct sections – Business, Strategy and Review and dealt with the information needs of the reader within each of these sections. A contemporary design and a fresh approach to business and academic publishing was packed into a smaller, compact size that is more reflective of the business reader who may want to travel with this big read. Now, the long standing title is in production with the second edition under the care of Mosaic's publishing team and is backed up by a digital platform also under the BSR online branding.
